And can I use anything else?

History: vaguely starting peri for aboy 12-18m then had my ovaries out: was fine for about 6 weeks then all hell broke lose!

Coming to the end of my first month and am watching to see what happens - I already think I may need a higher dose but would rather go to see the GP with an idea of what I can do rather than just asking....

Also on vagifem which is fine but I need fairly often

Yes you will. But 20% of women don't so it's not black and white. Depends how much estrogen you absorb.

Not sure why you have been put on a sequi type when you have no ovaries because you won't be having natural periods any more.

i did wonder tbh - but she completely threw me during our appt by asking when my last period had been

I know I have to have progesterone (until I'm 54?) But I didn't expect periods tbh

No, you have to use progestogen forever as long as you use estrogen (unless you had a hysterectomy.)

You might be getting confused with the age at which conti is usually used - 54 and onwards, but that's also a choice- some women stick with sequi.

Will conti give me a period?

God I sound clueless sorry

Sorry to be a pain but does haveing my ovaries out make me definitely menopausal or post menopausal - I'm not sure of the terminology

I thought the first but now I'm thinking the second

Menopause is cessation of periods and I'm never going to have a natural period am I?

I found this which seems bloody apt

So I am post menopausal - I kind of skipped peri and menopause

I have asked basic questions on menopause matters

I think when it all happened I was overwhelmed and confused and just grabbed random bits of info rather than understanding it from first principles

I think it highly likely I am on the wrong hrt
