I’m 38 and for the past two cycles my periods are behaving weirdly. First I was very late, it was 31 days when it arrived and my average is 24. Then today, it’s come early at 21 days.
Occasionally I feel my face get very hot then it passes
I don’t know if it’s related but my skin is also very dry and itchy, especially my eyelids.
My nails are also very brittle.

I can’t see the doctor until the 25th so I’m wondering what you all might make of this.
I recently had a full blood count done due to my fatigue but it turns out I’m anemic.
I’ve recently started taking iron.

It is very likely I think! Your symptoms are too common during peri.

@Realitea... I'm not sure you are actually. You're too young for a start! Unless your mum went thru an early menopause? I'm 47 and not Peri. I had the tests recently. I do get really bad periods and sudden occasional night sweats. But they are pretty regular atm. When I had weird periods which were late it turned out I was preg with DS..I didn't know for 12 wks! I thought it was Peri!
Good luck x

Stress can mess with your hormones too. How are you for stress ?

Realitea · 06/02/2019 21:05

I have no stress, get enough sleep, no drastic weight changes.. I can’t think of anything really

My mum was 50 so no early menopause either.

Could it be the anaemia playing a part?
Good luck with your appointment x
