Hello. I’m 48 and showing symptoms of being peri menopausal. My periods are usually on time , give or take a day or two. Heavy fir first 3 days then light for two. The last year or so I’ve missed a couple all together. My latest period however has been going on 11 days. It’s heavy and clotty and I’m feeling throughly drained with it.
Should I go and speak to a dr or is this normal?

I am having my scan tomorrow so I shall hopefully find out what’s going on.
The norethisterone stopped the bleeding pretty much straight away, and I immediately felt tons better. Problem is , I am too scared to stop taking them Incase it comes back.

Natashik
You are being treated disgracefully. It seems some Drs just don’t get it at all. Hopefully you’ll find one that will listen to you and you get the help you need. I feel so sorry for you

So glad to have read this - my cycle has gone weird, night sweats, poor sleep and a lot more under arm odour ! I'm putting off seeing gp but maybe I should! Best wishes

Please, please go. I think we are conditioned as women to ‘put up and shut up ‘ when we get unusual symptoms. The poster above NATASHIK being the perfect example. My mum died at 60 from womb cancer so I’m hyper alert to any changes to my body.
