First Dr appt today

Hi Ladies
had my first Dr appt today re menopause. I'm so confused and so much info out there. She was very old school although she has prescribed me hrt patches and progesterone (don't know which brand as they will be at the chemist for me tomorrow)
I'm nearly 50, been off the pill for a year and not had a period since. I get a few flushes a day/night, sleep well.
However the mental side is bad. Anxiety, irritable, brain fog. Sometimes I can't even string sentences together. Forgetfulness, doubting myself. No libido. Oh I also ache and am so stiff even though I regularly exercise.
I'm anxious even about using the patches. Don't really know what to do.
My friend is a nutritional therapist and has advised me what I could take naturally.
So unsure of which way to go. I know ultimately its up to me but wondered if any of you experienced ladies have any advice? thanks

Stick the patch on.

if good diet worked for all of us we'd not need HRT! By all means eat well and have a healthy lifestyle, but that won't replace estrogen which your body is crying out for,

I've used HRT for 11 years and would always suggest women try it.

I'm sorry OP but anyone can call themselves a Nutritional Therapist and have not had any training.

Stick the patch on like the PP says. The patches have literally saved me.

You can still follow a decent diet, exercise a little more and drink a little less and do the HRT.

I've found that yoga and Guided Meditation have helped me enormously too [thanks[
