A.D in menopause

I'm postmenopausal.

Been on HRT over a year. Still really struggling with anxiety & now increasingly depressed.

Are there any particular A.Ds that work well in menopause?

TIA

Hi! If your depression is hormonal, hrt is recommended but I you still feel anxious and depressed maybe it is more psychological and not only due to hormones.
I think that psychotherapy can help you for handling your stress and depression with or without antidepressants.
There are several types of ADs as Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), SNRIs, MAOIs and trycyclic.
A specialist for mental health can offer you the appropriate medical advice.

Thank you. I very much doubt my GP will refer to me a specialist.

HRT hasn't helped so its not hormonal so time to think of a different treatment.
