Should I upper my dose?

Hi! I am 42 and on hrt for about a year, cyclical type, tablets (Femoston 2/10). I have no bleed on it and my gyn said that my estrogen is too low (293pmol).
I have no symptoms, good libido and daily exercise (cross fit). He suggested to take daily red clover with my hrt for 3 months but I don’t want to try it.
My concern is if I am at risk for osteoporosis later ( my DEXA scan is normal) and should change my hrt or stop my daily training. Any thoughts?
Thank you in advance!

why would you want to stop your training? Is the idea you are underweight and suffering from low estrogen like athletes?
2mgs ought to be enough.
what would he like your estrogen level to be?
You need to repeat your scan every 2-3 years.

Thank you for replying!💐
I was thinking that hard training can cause my body not to maintain the proper amount of estrogen. I have a normal BMI and body fat about 23%.

He said that he wants my estrogen to be above 400 and to have a bleed on hrt. He doesn’t agree with my suggestion about trying testo or DHEA as a way to increase the level of my estrogen.
I think that no symptoms and feeling good is an indicator that I don’t need extra estrogen but he doesn’t seem satisfied with it...🤔

However as you are only 42 if you are post-menopausal then no harm in increasing - but there is no combi preparation that can do this - so you would have to change to separate patches/gel/tablets with progesterone and all that entails ( getting used to different regime etc and potential side effects). That level is not actually low - but a lot lower probably than it would be on average if you were still fertile, so the long term effects may impact your bone health? I wouldn;t take phytooestrogens with estradiol HRT though - I think they may compete for receptors - not sure what the effect would be? I don't know enough about that...

I don't think testosterone and DHEA are the way to go - is there evidence that the T will convert to estradiol when given externally? DHEA is even more uncertain. To increase oestrogen then just add oestrogen!

Thanks Bellaciao!🌷
Actually I am on seq type, tablets Femoston 2/10 but I don´t have a bleed on it, I don’t know why.
I have no symptoms and feel ok but I worry if my estrogen is low how it will affect my bone destiny in the future.
I don´t feel ok with the idea of adding phytoestrogens with my hrt and I was thinking that having no symptoms is a good sign that everything is ok. Maybe I can try 3mg of estrogen and see.
I think that I had low estrogen level all my life and my fertility was a mess! 🙄

I have been on femoston 2mg for 1 year and my symptoms started to come back 6 months ago, so saw menopause lady at the clinic and she upped my dose, i now take Femoston 2mg+Femoston 1mg, after 1 month the change was quite extraordinary, i feel like a 20 years old (i’m 51 !), excellent bone density, lost all the weight i had piled on over the last 4 years ( iam now 8.5 stones), amazing sleep, feeling solid and mentally strong, alert and so happy, increasing Femoston to 2 tablets a day feels like is what my body needed for a long time as my symptoms were debilitating and i wouldn’t have wished it on anyone, HRT saved my life, i am also very grateful for listening to Polly Perky who guided me at the time, i read a lot about HRT and i am not scared, i know the risks.

Thanks Disco! Nice you feel great on 3 mg! My thought is that I was low in estrogen for my whole life and I am afraid that 3 mg will be too much for me.
I was thinking that taking 2 mg and with no symptoms I could protect my heart and my bones.
I will repeat my scan and maybe I will try upper my dose.
We need to upper the dose of dydrogesterone too?

Yes you take 2 pills per day so more dydrogesterone, it has never caused any issues
