Vagifem and bleeding

Hello, looking for advice please! I’ve just started Vagifem, I’m on day 7, and today I’ve noticed some light bleeding. I am still getting periods, although irregularly, but I don’t think it can be that as my last one was just over a week ago.

The information leaflet does mention bleeding as a common side effect but I don’t know if that means I should stop using it, or carry on and keep an eye on it, or what! Has anyone had a similar experience, and what did you do?

Hopeful little bump. It seems to have just been a little spotting so I’m carrying on, but would be good to hear about any similar experiences!

Carry on. It may be stimulating the womb lining a bit and some is coming away, as you are peri, or it may be some local irritation- women with severe VA can have a bloody discharge because the vaginal tissues are very fragile and bleed on contact with anything, or even just bleed.

Thanks for your reassuring reply, Jingling Smile. It seems to have settled down again so I’ll carry on and keep an eye on it.
