Sore nipples!

I am 57 years old, have had the mirena coil in for 3 years, started hrt about 4 months ago but suddenly my nipples are sore all the time - in or out of a bra, if my arm/clothes etc brush them, the soreness is worse. Being naked hurts, wearing clothes hurts!! I can’t win! Any suggestions how to ease this or why it’s happening? Thanks.

Me too. I am 52 and it is just started happening to me. Sorry no answers here but perhaps someone else will come along.

barefootcook, I was beginning to think it was just me! Not nice is it?

Yes I was thinking it might just be me too! I comes and goes a bit. I just try and ignore it.

Mine were AWFUL a few months ago! Just for a cycle or two. It was like early pregnancy - even a few sheets of paper wafted against the nipples made me yelp.

I do suffer from more or less constantly achey boobs in perimenopause. Some cycles it's almost throughout, sometimes just from ovulation to period. Mostly to the outer sides and often a burny feeling. Anyone else get this? I get it checked out by GP every year or so, she's not overly interested. Hmm
