Advice on Vagifem please

I was prescribed Vagifem 6 weeks ago to treat Vaginal Atrophy and bladder issues ie frequent UTi's, bladder pain, need to wee during night, cystitis like symptoms, burning etc. I used Vagifem every day for 2 weeks as advised by GP and felt a difference in the symptoms of dryness, itching and burning feeling. Then I was told to use it twice a week - having tried this it seems that I wasn't getting the relief that I initially felt - also bladder symptoms seemed the same as before.
I spoke to my GP who advised that I could use Vagifem every other day if required. I have been doing this for a
Week now. I currently have a UTI (on antibiotics which don't seem to be working) and am feeling itchy and uncomfortable.
I am feeling very frustrated by it all - after the initial relief that I felt when first using it to where I am now.
I also read that it can take 12 weeks for the Vagifem to fully work - I am just feeling that I have taken a few steps back in the treatment .?
Has anyone else experienced this?

It can take months to get the tissues back to where they ought to be. Took me 6 months using Ovestin to get rid of frequent weeing and soreness, though improvement was gradual. Be patient and maybe try using it daily again and see if that helps.

Thank you for your reply - that has at least given me some encouragement - I started to think that it had stopped working!

@Flotsamflo, I hope your symptoms eventually improved. I'm in a similar place, half way through my 3rd week of Vagifem. Used them daily for 2 weeks and now on twice a week regime. My vaginal symptoms have noticeably improved, but I'm very much struggling with my bladder (pain, constant need to go etc.). My bladder is my weak spot anyway (chronic UTI and on long term antibiotics), but I was pretty much symptom free before this started (had a baby 3 months ago aged 44) and have been told I'm experiencing post partum (breastfeeding) lack of estrogen. Hoping to hear that Vagifem sorted your bladder even if it took a little longer.
