Tibilone

Hello, does anyone have experience of Tibilone whilst still having periods?

I was prescribed this via the hospital due to elevated FSH levels in conjunction with a Mirena to help my heavy and erratic periods.

Treatment plan changed a few months later as different doctor said this was not to be used when I’m still menstruating.

Does anyone have experience of this? Would you be concerned?

Hi! Tibolone (livial) was the first hrt I tried during peri with almost normal periods.
It didn’t suit me and it isn’t recommended for perimenopausal women.
Actually Tibolone mimics the estrogen activity and it is considered safer than the other types, according my gyn.

Thanks for responding Emerald.

I felt better on the Tibilone but rubbish again on the patches. The hospital were retesting me to plan my treatment going forward but have lost the blood samples. They are now prescribing a gel instead, without the benefit of any test results.
