Menopause next year

Hi, I am currently on the last leg of treatment for breast cancer and I've been told today that I will be having various meds from Jan that will trigger the menopause.
Has anyone gone through it this way? Any thoughts or advice?
I can't remember all the treatment but it's tamoxifen daily, and injection every 28 days and then an additional injection every six months.

Hi Mrs P
not exactly the same, but I've been having chemo for brain tumours this year, and GP confirmed I'm now in menopause. Touch wood, it's been fine. Period appears randomly, but is very short and light. Last one was in August, and that was perhaps my third this year. I sometimes get a brief feeling of rising embarrassment which is apparently a hot flush. It's not a bother though, and passes in seconds.
These may be famous last words, but so far it's been fine, which I wasn't expecting as my mum had a dreadful time of it with her normal menopause.

Oops, and best of luck with the rest of your treatment! Thanks

Thanks Foldy, my mum had an easy time of it so am hoping I'll follow her, but wasn't sure if it's different due to meds.
Hope your chemo is going well, my last one is on Thursday and I find out about radiotherapy today.
Xx
