I am having my mirena removed as its been in for 4 years.
I use two pumps of ostrogel a day and wondered what my options for progesterone would be.
I am 57 and have been on hrt gor 4 years

Any thoughts would be great

Through a GP, not many.
Utrogestan or Provera.

Your other option is Norethisterone, or one of the minipills (POP) but although I was on (a) through a private consultant and also offered (b) I've never come across anyone on a forum using either through a GP because GPs don't seem to know how to prescribe/ dose.

Why not have another Mirena?

Oh FFS what's the matter with these drs? The instructions are on the leaflet and online- google them. That's not the right dose.
