Early periods

Hi,

I am 40 year old.

My period started on 31st oct. It usually lasts for 3 days. I usually am on a 26 day cycle since forever.

This time i started period again on 12th nov.

I initially felt it could be the onset of menopause.

However I googled the causes and it could be various things possibly illness too.

Now i am really worried but feel its too early to go to gp as i don't have other symptoms of any illnesses. Also i want to see how long this period lasts before going to the gp.

Any suggestions please?

I too have had the same thing this month. I'm 43 and always had (reasonably) stable cycle. Had period start on 5/11 which was expected, lasted 5 days and seemed normal only to start another period yesterday which is really heavy but no cramps!!??!!
Like you I'm reluctant to instantly head to the GP in case this is just "normal". Interested to see if anyone else experienced similar issues?
