The hot flushes are back 😔

I live overseas, in a country with little access to HRT. I get my supplies sent over from the UK but recently ran out & have had a 4-6 week gap of no treatment. Thankfully, a great big bag of hormones has now been delivered to my door. Just in time because the bastard hot flushes have come back with vengeance, 12 + times a day 😔

For the past 10 months, I’ve been taking Estrogel 1 pump + 200mg Ustrogeston (pessary) on 15-27 day of the month. Although I was prescribed 2 pumps/day I used one or less to conserve my precious supply. This has worked well and I have been symptom free. What dose should I now take to get back on track? I’m 51, no idea if I’m actually menopausal because my HRT bleeds over the past year were sporadic & could have actually been a period (?). My sympathetic menopause doctor has left the country & I’ve no idea how to get back to feeling good again. Help please 🙏

well, looks as if starting with 1 pump is the way to go for 2-4 weeks. If that doesn't work, increase to two.

Thanks QueenoftheNights. I am desparate for the hot flushes to stop. Will increasing the dose to two pumps help to speed up the relief? So hot & miserable.

you've just got to experiment.
I don't know if you will be ok on 1 pump or 2.

You were okay for 10 months on 1 pump and have now missed your HRT for a few weeks.

If you managed on 1 pump before, maybe that will be all you need now.
