Peri menopause and anxiety

Hi
I think I am maybe going through peri menopause, although the GP says not. I have erratic periods, (used to be very regular) restless nights, hot flashes (when exerting myself) but most debilitating of all is the anxiety, I can’t seem to function.

About a year ago I was prescribed AD’s and CBT for anxiety, things improved so I came off early this year. Recently my periods have been erratic again and my anxiety is through the roof. I would be worried about taking HRT as there is a history of breast cancer in my family. Is there anything else anybody can suggest? maybe vitamins, herbal remedies or should I go see the GP again as I am having panic attacks and they’re really affecting my everyday life and as a result my DC.

Good quality CBD oil has had very favourable reviews for anxiety and other menopausal symptoms.

I went on HRT for those reasons you mention but don't have breast cancer in the family. GO check with your GP xx

I have not used it yet as I am
kind of ok for the time being. Have a look at Meg Matthew's website called 'Meg's Menopause' and you will see lots of positive feedback about it. You can buy it through her site but worth shopping around. Holland & Barret sell it, but at quite a low %. Might be worth asking your local health food store. Good luck - it's all a bit crap this
meno lark isn't it?!

If you really think it's hormonal they will proably weigh up the risks against the benefits.
Debilitating anxiety is no picnic.
Sending you love x

Re natural remedies i would imagine the usual PMS things would help agnus castus. starfloer etc
and possibly drinking Soya milk!
