Hi ladies, I'm 44 and peri although the only symptoms I have are erratic periods all over the show and headaches. I did have brain fog but not for long and that's it apart from I don't have any sex drive at all, I feel so sorry for hubby but I have no interest, will it come back or is there anything I can do? I am so tired though and the way I feel I'm not bothered if I don't have sex again.

Have you been to the GP and had your lady hormones tested to see if you are in Perimenopause? 44 is early and there could be other causes of your symptoms. Also ask for an FBC, thyroid function test, ferritin, B12, vit D and folate. I thought I may be in perimenopause. Turns out I had thyroid issues and low ferritin.

I'm pretty sure I am, my periods have been like this for couple of years. 18 days then 54 days then miss a month and so on. Forgot to mention my anxiety has been quite bad as well. Also my mum had very early menopause. I will have those tests done though thank you for your reply x

I'm 54 and in the last year my periods have been getting lighter and irregular, I had a couple of periods earlier this year, I think my last one was back in late June or early July and it was a one day wonder, very light altogether.

I don't seem to have other symptoms apart from a dry vagina, sex is painful, lube makes it a bit better but I want to have sex but it's uncomfortable. I'll be seeing my GP soon.

honeyrider you need to ask for some topical estrogen, I use Vagifem, it will sort your soreness/dryness out.

If you need HRT, ask about Livial [Tibolone] they will help a lot with your sex drive
