How do I know

I have a mirena coil and have no periods at all (yippee!). I'm 50 in a few months and was wondering how I will know when I'm menopausal? Will the progesterone block any symptoms?
I remember my Mum bleeding randomly (and hugely tmi) and having hot flushes and mood swings in her late forties/early fifties.
Anyone else been here?

Yep. I have a Mirena too. Started to get hot flushes last year aged 47. Went to docs, did blood test to measure FSH levels. If levels high = perimenopausal.
