Just had a letter saying i have low grade abnormal dyskarysos but they arent doing anything about it say see you in 5 years. Cant be right surely need treatment

You had some replies to this yesterday before your letter with your details was taken down.

1 it said you do not have HPV so unlikely the changes could be cancerous.

2 It said mild changes and these usually /always clear up.

3 if you are really worried you can pay for a private smear in loads of places for around £60- £70 which isn't a fortune if it's once a year or every couple of years.

Thank i will do thst decided to wIt 6 mths and pay for one

could you go back to your GP for reassurance and query? It might be more helpful than the standard letter from the screening lab. There's also quite a bit online about this is you want to google and have a read.
