Dressing for hot flushes!

I'm 39 and have started having a few peri-menopausal symptoms, most significantly hot flushes, night sweats, and trouble sleeping. My question is a practical one really - is it safe to go out dressed lightly when it's cold outside but I still feel too hot? It's ok just now but soon it'll be getting colder and I just want to know if you can get hypothermia or anything like that if your body fools you into thinking you're hot and you go out without a coat on in the middle of winter.

Yeah you maybe feel hot but it doesn’t mean that you cannot get a cold. I prefer comfortable cotton clothes and avoid pullovers ad synthetic shirts.
