Hi,just looking for any advice please if anyone has tried Femoston 1/10 & found it made their anxiety worse?I tried Elleste Duet first for 3 months but the progesterone made me really moody.
So thought I would try Femoston, which I,ve been taking for approx 6 weeks. But it seems when I am taking the oestrogen my anxiety is really bad.Do I need to try something else or up the dose of Femoston to 2/10?Am 45 but was having hot flushes & erratic periods last year, hence starting HRT.

Oestrogen doesn't normally cause anxiety- if anything it's the anti-anxiety hormone.

What does your anxiety feel like? Just curious as I get anxious over everything but regard it as 'normal' for me. Sometimes I feel we expect life to be anxiety-free when really everyone has anxiety for some of the time. Not being unhelpful, just trying to give some perspective.

It's hard to describe, just feel tight in the chest & really snappy some days.Anxiety was one of the symptoms I went to the doctor's with as well as the flushes. But it just seems to have got worse in the past few weeks. Its so annoying as definitely not like me at all.Even simple things stress me out at the moment.

What you describe doesn't sound like anxiety , more like short temper and irritability. Maybe try some things to help relax- yoga, mindfulness, self-help CBT ( loads online) meditation, and exercise? HRT is great but it's not always the complete answer to everything.
