I had a full hysterectomy 8 years ago aged 39. Since then I have been on several forms of hrt and settled on estradot 75mg patches, so quite a hefty dose.
My symptoms have never completely gone but the anxiety and overwhelming lows lifted.
In the last few months things have got worse, predominately joint pain (agony) hot flushes, extreme tiredness and the bloody skin itching. I’m also unable to concentrate and pranged the car which is not like me at all.
I will go to see gp but would like to know if anyone else has had menopause symptoms worsen after so long?

You are still very young at 47- just into the menopause age range (average age for meno is 51). So...sounds as if you need more estrogen. 75mgs is medium to high dose but it can go up to 100mcgs and also you could try swapping to gel where you can increase the dose yourself till you get relief from all the symptoms.
