Start of menopause

Hi,

I am here because I don’t have anyone to ask. I have the mirena coil which I have had for 11 years. I am 37 years old

In the last year I have noticed facial hair to the point I veet my face and recently had some on the under part of my chin. I actually have very little sex drive and the last time I attempted sex it hurt as I was dry and it was a rare occasion I actually did want sex.
I don’t have periods due to my coil. Also, my mother passed away at 32 so I don’t really know when her menopause would of been.
I often feel tired and often feel stressed.
Could this be the start of the menopause. Would I go to the dr to get this confirmed. Would there be any help when on the coil?

Yeah, it sounds like menopause, you can check your FSH, your estradiol and your thyroid.

Thank you. Sorry to be a pain but would they give them to be no problem or do you have to pester.

It depends on how informed and caring your GP is. I think that’s you can persist on finding therapy. Don’t delay if you suffer and it affects your quality of life! I finally diagnosed after struggling 3 months at the meno nightmare. I’m 42.
