gel with what form of progesterone

So sorry. Another question. So I have tried the oestrogen gel. The doctor said that I should try for three months without progesterone and then if I like it put in a mirena coil. I am two years post menopausal.

I wanted to ask you if any of you are post menopausal and using the gel and if so whether you use something other than the coil, as I don't want to use a coil. I would feel far more comfortable using a pill or a cream.
Any advice, so I can approach the GP.

Thank you. Sorry.

There are limited options.

Utrogestan- micronised natural progesterone ( capsule) - which is 100mgs daily for no-bleed regime or 200mgs 10 days a month for a sequential (bleed regime.)

Norethisterone (not many GPs will have heard of this combo I think) 1mgs daily for no bleed or 5mgs for 10-12 days.

I use Estrogel with the Mirena, had it fitted when I was one year post menopause, I couldn’t tolerate the side effects of the utrogestan.
