No period for 8 month , I have been managing hot flushes , sweats , low mood , rage ...the usual quite well with supplements, however this week they all returned with a vengeance:( not sure whether to discuss HRT with GP ? If I do go down this route will I start bleeding again ?

No, if you choose a continuous type of hrt. Only on cyclical type you have a bleed, not exactly a period.

You can't have the no-bleed type of HRT for at least 12 months after your last period. This is because it may not stop your own periods so there is little point using it too soon. Also it is better to use HRT at first that is sequential ( follows a 28 day cycle) so you can see how much estrogen you need and if the type of progestogen in whichever HRT ( there are 4 types) suits you best.

HRT doesn't give you periods- your fertility is gone- it gives a withdrawal bleed the same as the Pill.

Thanks :) think il see if this passes , hopefully it's just a blip ! Hopefully il get to the 12 month mark of no periods ! Don't fancy withdrawal bleeds , got used to the freedom ! Fingers crossed
