hi there,
I hope you can help. I am 5- meno, and on estorel conti HRT patches. They normally suit me fine, but last week I ran out of patches, and in the gap between stopping and starting a new pack, my normal period arrived. I put a patch on anyway and thought no more about it. I'm on second estrogen patch.
So today, I had a bit of a tummy upset (soft light coloured poo - sorry) but then spent the whole day feeling like I was going to get cystitis. Felt like I had a full bladder, stomach swollen and needed to go for a pee a lot. No blood or burning when passing urine though. So (thank you for reading this far) could this be meno cystitis? If so what can I do to get rid of it, and when does the meno bring it on?
I'm a bit concerned because haven't had cystitis for years, a not sure whey I would get it now.
Please help if you can.... not sure what to do...

I think you mean you are on sequi otherwise you'd not now be on an estrogen-only patch. Conti is only for women who aren't having their own normal periods. The bleed with sequi is not a period, it's a withdrawal bleed.

What you prob had was an early withdrawal bleed due to missing the patch - a type of withdrawal bleed.

You probaby have vaginal / urogenital atrophy caused by low hormones. All the bits associated with the bladder rely on estrogen to work properly. Many women need vaginal estrogen too as well as patches, tablets etc.

That's right Queen I was a bit distracted last night. For some reason I find the whole HRT patch thing intensely confusing. I can't even read the instructions properly.
I've come to the conclusion this morning that it's probably a stomach bug, and my stomach is still upset. I don't like the sound of vaginal entropy, so will try not to google too widely.
