I’m a little confused now whether I am having an early menopause! Saw doctor couple of months back after periods became irregular and bouts of night sweats. I’m 44. Had first fsh test which came back 57. My lovely doctor said it was an early menopause, prescribed 2mg Elleste which I’ve started taking but said repeat the blood test a few weeks later. The second test (coincidentally on day four of my cycle) showed fsh of 16 which seems a big improvement to me. Any thoughts what I should do from here? The receptionist said talk to the doctor again so I’m awaiting an appointment in two weeks but I’m curious (hopeful) as to whether it means I’m not in an early menopause.
