Consistency of 'fat'

.. by which I mean, has the consistency of your 'fat' bits changed?

I've been up and down in weight all my life, but I've never really had a gut until after pregnancy. I was pregnant 4 years ago, since birth I've had a weirdly flabby tummy - as in, flabbier than my normal fat bits are.

In the last couple of months it's suddenly gone more solid - not smaller, despite calorie counting and doing lots more exercise, but more solid. Does that make sense? Does it sound like something to worry about?

Got menopause clinic appt in September.

If you're doing lots of exercise could it not just be the underlying muscles toning up?

Mine too. It's because the muscles underneath are harder, but the fat is still there (in my case).

It sounds good for me! I mean that it looks better, isn’t it!
I notice some muscle loss during peri and a bit sagging but I cannot understand if it is due to age or to the loss of estrogen.
