CBD and menopausal symptoms

Has anyone tried CBD oil for menopausal symptoms?
A friend who lives abroad has been prescribed a marijuana based product by her doctor to treat her symptoms which started me thinking CBD might actually help.
I have used cannabis in the past and it has been a god send. No night sweats, has reduced my appetite and has helped massively with mood swings and anxiety BUT I don't want to feel stoned!
Is CBD the way forward?

Hey there, thanks for your post. I use CBD daily for everything from peri menopause to a trapped nevrve and it really helps. I use a strong oil as I tired the weak holland and barret one and it did nothing. I use Aura CBD oil 30% and sometimes the CBD paste.
I find it calms my nerves and seem to make my periods lighter as well as getting rid of pain.
I hope this helps :)

I got some today from H&B. They sell two different dosages. They said that although legal of course, it's not licensed for any medical treatment so they can't provide advice. It is half price until the 20th.

I use cbd oil for lower back pain, stress, and menopause. Started using the Holland and Barrett one but it upset my stomach and didn't work. So went onto this company who are a new company, their oil is filtered and golden so is a better quality oil. Leon flavour is lush. Link here if anyone wants it.

Hi Dawnfar , I am looking for a good CBD product tochepp with menopausal symptoms especially the night sweats. Having done some research I'm concerned we cant get strong enough doses of it here in the UK and wondered whether you were able to share where you can get it from in the Netherlands or elsewhere please?

I've bought some cbd oil but am unsure of how much and how often to take it. Any advice?

I use CBD oil for hot flushes at night (using a hand-held fan for daytime flushes - that's pretty effective along with drinking copious amounts of tomato juice which I hate but which does seem to be a mini miracle on the hot flush front).

CBD definitely seems to help my thermostat get back on track - takes about half an hour to work so take it just before bed. Doesn't completely stop me overheating, but seems to stop profuse sweating and the need to change my PJs (repeatedly ugh).

Purer is better - just started using this one and can recommend provacan.co.uk/collections/digital-goods-vat-tax/products/provacan-cbd-oil-1200mg-sos-hemp-cbd-extract
Not cheap, but worth it for something approaching a decent night's sleep.

How to sensibly buy LEGAL CBD oil? Because I got a letter saying customs have confiscated my package two times already and I’m pissed.

GabriellaF16 · 11/03/2019 23:45

@Amanda0115, been there done that. The only place where I was able to purchase CBD legally was this verified place here bit.ly/2D9bX36 Fast shipping, great quality.

I’m starting cbd oil today and walking to work as I’ve tried hrt and antidepressants and they either make you numb or starving. I’m giving it a go, I’ve got some high strength stuff from Holland and Barrett, I’ll keep you posted, I’m 52 and postmenopausal the symptoms are Moody bitch and insomnia Smile

Sth7 · 21/09/2019 15:34

Hi there,
I'm about 12 months post menopausal. I've been suffering with silent reflux for a few months now. I don't know if it's due to low oestrogen or low vit D ( l'm on a Vit D supplement). Horrible acid at the back of my throat. Affecting my voice at times. Not good. Anyone else have anything similar? Smile

Natomar · 06/10/2019 08:26

I’m on day 4 of taking cbd oil for menopause. I have been in the menopause for 9 years now and hrt isn’t working for me anymore. I have nights sweats, feel irritable sleepless nights and I’m exhausted. This morning I have woken up after having the best nights sleep in a long time . I also had no night sweats last night either so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the other horrible symptoms disappear too because I have been thinking of going to the doctors for antidepressants which they keep trying to prescribe but I’m trying to avoid. Will keep you posted 🤞

I've found a good oil here as well, hempdispensaryba.com

emma810 · 21/01/2021 13:36

CBD is definitely legal in the UK. I recommend getting it from Alphagreen as they have the widest range of the best and highest quality CBD products in the UK

emma810 · 08/04/2021 17:14

Yes, CBD is the way forward! Have said it before, will say it again Smile. Alphagreen has the best cbd oil for anxiety and no CBD doesn't get you high. It has all the goodness cannabis has to offer minus the high and tolerance build-up.
