sorry - started a different thread so this wouldn't get lost.
two years since my last period.
so presumably I'd be on continuous HRT
I want to take oestrodial gel.
but what would be good to ask for for the progesterone, and is there a pill I can take regularly without a period, or if I have a pill do I have to have regular periods?

If you are seeing an NHS GP for this, your options will be slightly limited. There is Utrogestan (micronised progesterone) 100mgs daily as continuous HRT. Or there is Provera, or the Mirena coil.
I used Norethisterone alongside (then changed to Utrogestan) but this was privately and I don't think GPs are familiar with it as part of HRT.

The options you are thinking about are limited on the NHS. Women who have private consultants can get more choice such as longer cycles so the 'period' isn't monthly but maybe bi-monthly, but this has to be done under long term supervision to monitor the womb lining with a scan every year or two.
