Anyone prescribed the Pill instead of HRT?
Consultant mentioned it today at my appointment this afternoon

Estrogel is ok but still struggling with side effects from Utrogestan.

I'm 44.

It is prescribed as hrt in young ages cause it contains higher doses and stronger estrogen. If you cannot find a type of hrt that suits you, maybe you can try it.

My GP told me I couldn't have the combined Pill at 40 but at 44 it seems its ok...

I hate the whole HRT thing. The side effects from progesterone are awful.

Maybe I'm expecting too much from HRT?

Maybe, hrt is not the magic cure. It helps with symptoms but I don’t think that it can replace completely the whole hormonal state we had before meno. It’s better than nothing. My biggest concern is about the long term consequences of the lack of estrogen for our body.
