HRT Husband Replacement Therapy

I think I am peri menopausal, sore everything, feel dire.
I am bad tempered, largely with my dh. I feel like I really hate him and have overwhelming feelings of resentment.
I don't know if it is 'my hormones' or a road to Damascus moment where I need to end my marriage.
Anyone had similar?

Could be both? Sorry, no particular relevant advice. Lots of people find others infuriating during peri. Is it just him, or is everyone annoying?

ScreamingValenta · 15/05/2018 18:38

What sort of things trigger your resentment towards your DH? Are these things which are within his control or not? Can you give a couple of examples of what he's doing to upset you - it might help to judge if these are things it would be usual for anyone to be annoyed about, or whether your hormones are heightening your reaction.

I’m with you op. Perimenopause has induced me to loathe poor dh recently. I spend most of my time irritated by him even breathing sometimes. Hope it soon wears off!

Wasn't there a thread where women realised they were pregnant because they suddenly loathed their partners?

EmmaSwann · 16/05/2018 21:15

Apparently loads of people get divorced at this stage of life and it's only when the women are through the menopause and they look back and think it was the menopause causing problems in their marriage. ..

My parents have been happily married for 55 years but I remember very clearly when my mum was going through the menopause and they very nearly split up.

So yes I think it happens.

I'm not sure about myself though. Been with my DH 25 years and he's been annoying me for 24 of them! Grin

I always googled flats to rent when had PMT. hormonal. Similar in early stages of peri menopause. Agnus castus helped with the hrt.

Hard to tell though, could be either. If you googl3 you’ll find this isn’t uncommon...
