Just had the best week I’ve had in a long time. Guess why.

I hadn’t had a period for 9 months and thought it was all over. During that time I was plagued with hourly hot flushes, a missing libido and - worst of all - night sweats that wouldn’t let me sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time. I’ve considered HRT but was waiting to see if I could plough through without it.

Then last week I got a period out of the blue...a completely normal one accompanied by the familar run up symptoms of sore boobs, wanting chocolate and weeping at adverts.

And....I have not had one single hot flush since, my sleeping patterns has been instantly restored to normal, my libido is back and I feel much more energised all round.

I know this is likely temporary so I have decided to definitely go for HRT seeing the magic effect a few hormones can have.

I don’t have a question but was wondering whether this resonates with anyone else and whether others with suddenly reappearing periods found the same.

It’s make an absolute sense to me!
I think that peri is preferable than meno, cause we still have some estrogen. When we lose our estrogen completely, the more severe health problems will begin.
What we need more is estrogen! Without estrogen our body struggle to survive and cannot function properly.
