Peri-menopause or thyroid?

I have had a series of symptoms over the past year, which haven’t been enough in isolation to visit the doctor, but pieced together now cause me enough irritation/pain/difficulty to prompt me to see the doctor. I have an appt in a couple of weeks, but I thought I’d also see whether others have the same symptoms for either peri-menopause or thyroid (which are what I’m thinking).

Very Dry skin/ageing skin (use lots of expensive products and eat enough good fats)
Pain in both elbows
Heavier/flooding periods
Flaking nails/greasy hair
Bloating/weight gain
Headaches
Dry mouth in morning (like a hangover)
Feeling knackered all the time
Poor concentration
Occasional numbness in fingers/arms
Sore breasts before periods
Dizziness

To add, my diet is excellent (no refined sugar/nothing processed/no alcohol etc), and I get enough sleep usually. Single mom to 3 kids, and work 30 hrs per week, but I’m a good coper, so I don’t think they’re anything to do with being overwhelmed. Basically, I can usually manage my life very well but it feels like the wheels are falling off and I need some help to ‘fix’ whatever is going on.

I'd ask as it could be something else, give the gp your symptoms & let them do there assessment

It sounds like peri, you can ask for blood tests. Your gyn will make a diagnosis based on your age, your symptoms and your results. Maybe you have hormonal changes that affect both. Meno symptoms and issues with thyroid are common during peri.
