Mirena woes - is this peri-menopause?

I'm on my second year of my second mirena coil. It's been hell. I'm pushing towards 50. The last period I had was a year ago as the coil has stopped them.
So far I have severe headaches, my joints hurt , my back hurts, I get a terrible pain in my left ovary that feels like being stabbed. I'm either constipated or have dia. And OMG, the heartburn! I'm shivery, always cold. I get horrendous cold night sweats. I feel sick every morning. I'm m dizzy when I stand up. I'm bloated around my stomach. I have sore breasts. I'm exhausted by lunchtime as I wake several times a night.
Please tell me it gets better!

Do you have oestrogen with it?

I was told if you had meno symptoms like flushes, or night sweats, you could have a patch or gel with it. Worth a visit to your GP to give it a go.

It is a good combination for peri, as it reduces the symptoms, and you get contraception too, as they are always very anxious you do not give up contraception too early. Also, with the usual peri HRT, you have to have a bleed and this combo means you don't.
