Femoston 2/10

Hi I'm on femoston 2/10 and have a monthly bleed I get a lot of period pains , my doctor explained to me how to miss my period as I'm going on holiday shortly, but the stage of the packet I'm on now it's not going to work I will still have a period while away so can anyone suggest how I can work this by bringing my period on slightly earlier instead of delaying it , if I can do this then I can have a period free holiday

You could try shortening the first part of the pack ie the oestrogen only tablets (by a few days?) and starting the combi pills earlier. You may then get your bleed a bit earlier. However it depends when in your HRT cycle your bleed normally comes and where in menopause you are - if your cycle is still dominant you may bleed at the time you would have done anyway if you ovulate at the same time. You can always try. Anyway in the days before HRT we all took our chances of when our period came and if on holiday or at a wedding, we just put up with it (unfortunately!).

Yes I did think of trying that but I got 3 tablets left of my ostregeon was going start the combi 2nte instead , also was going to stop the conti a few days early then go back on the others do you think that will work

Give it a try - sounds like a plan ie start the combi ones early and don't take the full course eg 12 days instead of 14 - but you can't guarantee that it will necessarily work quite how you want though.

Yeah I. Going try that but I will ask my pharmacy 2 mrw as well, I have delayed my period before by staying on the ostregeon but because of where I am in the packet I would have to take them for another 3 weeks don't know if that would be ok
