Pharmacy can’t get oestrogen gel for a week - what should I do?

I’m not sure how much is left in my current pump dispenser. I’m on holiday from tomorrow - if I run out should I stop taking tablets too? I’m due to take them April 1-12

They said there was a problem with the supply of the gel.

Any ideas? Thanks

if you've got time you need to go back to the pharmacist and ask. I had a recent query re starting HRT and POP and old pill and was confused between what the GP said, the packet said and the internet said. He consulted that huge book they have and confirmed what the GP said. If you have no time then I can't help as i'm not medically qualified and don't use that product. Hope someone else comes along who can help in that case

Hi! I don’t use the gel, I’m on tablets and I guess that you can just wait for a week without estrogen and to continue with gel when you can get it or if you have too severe symptoms you can take pills with the same estrogen for just a week and to go on with the gel afterwards. It’s my personal opinion of course, I’m not an expert. :)

Can you ring round all the other pharmacies you could get to? Maybe one still has some.

Thanks for the replies. I see what’s open tomorrow morning before we go!
