Femiston?

If you're taking Femoston is it helping? I've been taking it for 4 months, dr upped it from 1mg to 2mg one month ago but I still feel rubbish. I'm 46 and still having periods. I used to be so energetic, organised and fun. Now I feel easily overwhelmed and can spend a whole morning feeling busy but never actually achieving anything! I may cry at the drop of a hat, annoyingly ultra sensitive and prone to easily becoming agitated and stressed. Having trouble sleeping, feel exhausted all the time. What's happening to me?!! Sad

Maybe change your HRT? I felt no better on Femoston.

It shows how we are all so different, when i started HRT last year doctor put me on Femoston 1/10mg and within 2 weeks all the symptoms you describe went away, i now use the gel and Utrogestan as i want to avoid taking HRT orally. Maybe ask for the gel or patches ? You have now done 4 months so maybe wait another month on the 2mg and if you are still not right after your next period, ask to change to a different one, one which may suit you, but don't throw the towel ! They are many other ways to take hrt.

Thanks both, I will give it another month, just sick of feeling so awful.

Hi! Sorry for feeling so bad! Maybe a higher dose of estrogen will help. I’m on hrt, not on femoston, so I cannot advice a lot. A thing that I understand is that hrt cannot made our body acts exactly the same as before. It replaces an amount of hormones, not the whole hormonal state. So maybe we have high expectations for hrt and we get disappointed! I describe myself! 😊

You might be better with transdermal which doesn’t go through the liver which takes out oestrogen. Definitely worth trying something else.
