First period in 4 years?!

Hi all,

I had regular periods up until I was 41 then they became erratic for a few months, during which my son was conceived. This was 6 years ago. After he was born I was breastfeeding for nearly 2 years and I reckon in that time I had less than 5 periods. Then they stopped completely. No flushes, no menopausal symptoms at all. Today I have what looks and feels like a period, completely out of the blue! What is my body doing to me?!

All suggestions welcome thanks :-)

How old are you?

Make an appointment asap with GP

I'm 47 in May. And yes I was thinking that a GP appointment might be a good idea.
