Please talk to me about Adrenalin surges!

I am nearly 45, have loads of symptoms of peri menopause but have recently started getting weird Adrenalin surges from nowhere.

Today I was literally lying in bed & suddenly had a surge that then made me feel anxious & like I couldn’t breathe- it’s really horrible.

I have had ecgs, loads of blood tests etc over the last year and all normal so I think it must be peri menopause. It’s really awful.

Anyone else get these?

I'm not sure where this idea of 'adrenaline surge' comes from but there is no such thing if you are linking it to menopause. Sorry! It's often talked about online but if you google it, you'll find it's not what you think it is.
Adrenaline release is a fight-flight response.[https://www.healthline.com/health/adrenaline-rush#when-to-see-a-doctor]][

What you are having is anxiety or palpitations which some women find precedes a hot flush or night sweat.

You need to think about HRT which would probably sort it. See your GP and explain all your peri symptoms.
