Bleeding

Anyone have experience of post menopausal bleeding? I've had about 8 instances since middle of December, bright red spotting. I've been to the drs and have got a fast track appt tomorrow at the gynae dept. Have been quite laid back about it as I'm sure it's nothing sinister but just wondered if anyone else had had this?

It's quite common and is often hormonal but a lot depends on how long it's been since a natural period and your age. Women under 50 who get spotting are often having another last period but someone who was 60 and had been post meno for 10 years- more risky.

I've had it but it seems as if it was linked to my HRT - had all the investigations.

Hope you get on ok.

I hope it all went well for you. I've had a couple of biopsies / hysteroscopies, and they were pretty painless. Results came through in about a week.

Thanks Lineys went ok, but have to go for a hysteroscopy next Tues 😊

Ok, well, they'll do the procedure very quickly, and I have genuinely never found it actually painful. Like a smear, try and relax.

Someone should phone you around a week later.

If you want to ask anything else, please PM me. Flowers
