you might feel ok once you have stopped taking the progestogen part of it- you must be almost at the end of them?

Other than that maybe something herbal? Valerian?

Jan1234 · 23/12/2017 08:58

I'm on the 3rd tablet of the white ones so I say this started about 10 days ago so I was still on the other ones then, il have a look at the valerian can I take them then with the hurt ?

My sleeping tips are magnesium spray and melatonin which I get from i-herb in America. Helps massively.

I think too that you have to avoid jumping to conclusions that this is linked to HRT. Everyone has funny sleep patterns now and then, so it may be nothing to do with the HRT.
You could try other 'sleep hygiene' measures like no TV or screens for 1 hr before bed, warm bath, milky drink, more exercise during the day, no alcohol in the evening....lots of things that may help.

Jan1234 · 23/12/2017 14:52

Well I do think it is linked with the hrt as I never have problems with sleeping and last time they tried me on a different hrt I was exactly the same soon as they changed it I was fine again

Busyboysmum can I ask how much melatonin you take? I was prescribed 2mg but doesn’t do much for me, however in desperation last week I took 6mg and slept much better.

PollyPerky · 24/12/2017 08:28

It may be that the progestogen in Femoston conti helps you sleep. In conti, you'd take it every day.
Nothing is any different between the two types except that.
Give it time. Your body has to get used to the different sort.

busyboysmum · 24/12/2017 09:14

I have read that actually less melatonin is better. I have capsules of 3 mg and take a third in some milk before bed.
