Period goes on and on and on...

I'm 49.5 and still having regular periods. They've always been regular every 28 days with no real problems thankfully.

But recently things are changing and I guess that's to be expected. It's still 28 days but they tend to be over in 2 days, in fact the blood loss is so heavy I don't want to leave home for more than 2 hours as my mooncup is full !

This I can cope with but what is really getting to me is after this heavy 2 days there is constant spotting for up to 2 weeks. It's not heavy enough to wear a pad / mooncup full time but once or twice a day I can feel a little gush.

So currently I'm on day 12.

I should make a Gp appointment I guess but any recommendations in the mean time ?
