HRT advice

I'm 52, period free for over a year and taking HRT for three months.
My GP whilst understanding that I had a strong preference for Bio identical HRT, had no experience of it/hadn't heard of it, however having looked it up in his book, was prepared to prescribe Oestradiol gel and Utrogestan.
Thanks to Mumsnet and general research I'm taking 2 pumps daily of the gel and 100mgs Utrogestan on days 15 - 26. I was under the impression that I would have a withdrawal bleed after this. I haven't so far - is this ok/normal?

That dose is incorrect.
If you are using Utrogestan for half the month (12 days) the dose is 200mgs. This is 2 x 100mgs capsules.

the 100mgs dose is for continuous HRT where it's taken every day or 25/28 days.

This is possibly why you have had no bleed or it could be you are one of the 20% of women who don't even on sequi.

But you do need to go back to the correct dose.

This is from the patient leaflet- it ought to be in the box you have - is it? (I've just googled Utrogestan patient info and it brought up this info...)

3. How to take Utrogestan
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Always read the label. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Your doctor will aim to prescribe the lowest dose to treat your symptom for as short as necessary. Speak to your doctor if you think this dose is too strong or not strong enough.
The recommended dose is 200 mg daily at bedtime, for twelve days in the last half of each therapeutic cycle (beginning on Day 15 of the cycle and ending on Day 26).
Taking this medicine
Take this medicine by mouth.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.
Take this medicine at bedtime.
Take your oestrogen HRT at the same time as Utrogestan.
How much to take
Take two capsules at bedtime on days 15 to 26 of your 28- day cycle.
You will usually have a few days withdrawal bleeding (like a period) after this time.
Continue to take your oestrogen HRT every day.
If you have any problems with the withdrawal bleed, your doctor may change the way that you take Utrogestan. This will help to reduce the amount of withdrawal bleeding.

Thank you PollyPerky - I thought there was something not quite right. The script says one x 100mg on days 15 - 26 but you are right that the instructions specify two x 100mg on these days.
I'll follow this regime and see how I get on.
