At 45 I'm starting to see the signs .. night sweats, missed periods and anxiety creeping in. I can go months without a period then bang out of the blue I have swollen breast and spotting.. sometimes lasts 2/3 days, sometimes more! I feel like a mess.. the night sweats seem to come and go, as does the anxiety. I had children late in life, the last thing they need is a manic mummy .. would really appreciate any suggestions you may have. It seems a bit of a taboo subject unless your 'that age' what is that age.. in my case 45!

Only suggestion is see your GP for HRT. It should stop all of this. You are on the young side and many consultants would have you on HRT at least to the age of average menopause- 52 - because the risks are negligible.
