Hi there.. I started taking Femoston 1 and 1mg and on for 5 days now after menopausal for 3 years and night heat, irritable and worst no sleep.. My lower area seems tender and sex painful.. Anyone had these symptoms?

Just to check- you are onto day 5 of Femoston 1mg?

You might get a kind of 'waking up' of your vagina by adding in estrogen after 3 years but it could be pure coincidence and vaginal atrophy which was there all along but has got worse- 5 days of 1mg estrogen won't sort it. You might want to think about adding in vaginal estrogen too- Ovestin or Vagifem.

Thanks Polly - hopefully its just an 'awakening' as I thought it might be after three years of everything winding down!! but nonetheless, a bit scary. I will wait to finish this pack and see how I go and if it persists, go and see my doctor.

Also, no previous pain ever, so dont think its atrophy.
