Three years into menopause and getting hotter

I had a full hysterectomy three years ago and have managed the symptoms quite well. But just lately my hot flushes are getting worse and my hair is constantly drenched with sweat. Only in the day, I don't seem to sweat at night. I can't take HRT. Is there anything else people try that I could take or do? I take starflower oil at present.

Are you sure you can't use HRT? (Only reason for asking is a lot of women come along here saying they can't and they have misunderstood.) My consultant is even prescribing for women who have had breast cancer (with their oncologist's consent and advice). So the reasons to avoid HRT are very few and far between. Sorry if this does not apply to you.

I've had cancer twice and the consultant really didn't recommend it for me x

Can you travel? There are a few London based consultants who specialise in menopause and alternatives that help women like you. Maybe you can get a referral? You need specialist help.
