Mood swings are awful -hot flushes at night .ive had a blood test -just waiting for doc appt (current waiting time in my area 3 weeks ) do you think this sounds like the menopause

Sounds like it, I was having a period every 2 weeks too for about 18 months, they are getting scarcer now though (I'm 49) I had a time of low key hot flushes, by which I mean they were occasional and not too bothersome - just a sudden heat that didn't last long.
I didn't see a doctor - not sure why, it just didn't occur to me, but I will if I get any symptoms I find hard to deal with. I feel lucky I seem to be sailing through but I'm aware that may just be so far

The extra periods are a bit of a pain aren't they? Hard to monitor your cycle and they are proper heavy periods too.

Thanks for the reply
Yes proper periods and very very heavy .
I'm only 41 so I just thought it was a bit too earlier to go thru the menopause -my hot flushes are mainly at night time which is making it difficult to sleep

It is pretty young but within normal age ranges. I'd be interested in what your doctor says, are you open to the idea of HRT? Right now I don't feel I need it but as I said before I'm aware things can change and I'm open to any help, why suffer more than we have to?

I guess good food, less or no alcohol, plenty of exercise and supplements can help to an extent.
