I have been in Femoston 1/10 for four months and up until 8 days ago I would say it was life changing.
I suffered badly with joint pain and exhaustion as well as the non existent periods and sweats every 10 mins.
So
8 days ago I am still on the white oestrogen tablet with only two to go until I take the grey progesterone/oestrogen ones. And my boobs become very sore and swollen. I have had sore boobs in the past but always a day or so before my period. Also I still have sore boobs after 8 days. They are so sore I can hardly touch them - they feel like they did when I was breast feeding my girls.
Also my joint pain has come back with a vengeance - even after taking co codamol and brufen I am still sore.
And the exhaustion is back...

Any ideas?

I have spoken to DH and I am considering waiting until I finish this cycle and see if it's just a blip.

It's such a bloody shame as for the first four months I felt so good and was starting to feel like the old me!

Thanks a lot for reading

Are you in peri or post meno?
TBH this sounds like your own hormones kicking in and giving you a type of PMS.
Unless you had 12 months with no periods (or even more sometimes) you aren't post menopause. So at any time your own cycle could whir into action even if it doesn't result in a natural period (though some women get a period in addition to the withdrawal bleed, during peri.)

I reallly wouldn't blame the HRT and if anything it could mean you need either a higher dose Femostom 2mg, or it's being badly absorbed so you might want to think about patches instead.

I am peri - I was going 8 months with no period.

I will see if it settles down after this packet (and it gives me time to get an appt with GP)

Actually thinking about it - my last period without HRT was at the beginning of the year so that makes sense...
