Perimen-sweats-deodorant help

I need recommendations on a good deodorant...
I have entertered the perimeno realm
(h/o PCOS, Have a Mirena in situ)
I'm not ready to add any other meds in yet, but I'm struggling to control the sweating!
I shower often twice a day, sometimes more but my deodorant can't keep up with the sweats! It's just crazy
Can anyone advise please? 🤞🏻

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions but I would just like to add that my body odour is different since taking HRT. It's almost a chemical smell and I don't like it. Oh, the joys of the menopause!

northernlites · 22/08/2017 22:03

What a random side effect from the HRT? Does it bother you?

Sorry I just reread and you said you don't like it!
I don't like my situation either, feel like I could take shred out in Sure/Mitchum or similar!

I used Mitchum roll on for years but swapped to soft and gentle spray about three months ago. I'm so much happier with it. I'd got to the point where I was scrubbing under my arms with shower gel then soap either in the shower or bath twice a day. since I've changed to soft and gentle I smell and feel much fresher, thank god Grin

I'm not menopausal however I do suffer with hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating)
Driclor or perspirex roll on are the only thing that's controls the sweating. You put it on before bed then wash off in the morning.
I wash with antibacterial soap (sweating is mostly under arms) which stops smells
Triple dry do a spray antiperspirant which is also really good.

Antibacterial soap then use the Sure antibacterial spray

I was just about to start a new thread on deodorants. I am peri menopause (assume I am rather than have any main symptoms) and I am smelling a bit whiffy lately. I use Dove deodorant but it does not seem to cut it these days. I do not have hot flushes or sweat more but there is definitely a change in sweat smell. I have used Dove for years, but I want to try something else. Is a change in smell a thing during this stage of life? I have asked my DH and he said he cannot smell anything different (and he would tell me if he could smell it, he is not being diplomatic) but I can.

I'm similar. Mitchum stopped working for me but bionsen crystal deodorant works - the one with crystals and you add water.

northernlites · 25/08/2017 08:12

I was the same time for tea, all regular deodorants / anti persp which normally work well, just can't do the job after about an hour?! What's that about!
I bought some Sure maximum protection, so far so good, the perfume that's in it is not my favourite but it's doing the job... will try out some of the other recommendations though.
How does the crystal work?

You add water to the crystals and spray it on. It's got no fragrance or anything - I don't really know how it works but it does and my armpits don't smell like a beef pasty Grin
