HRT and mouth ulcers?

I've just started my 2nd month of Eleste Duet and have had really painful mouth ulcers for around 10 / 15 days - I've been to the dentist who can see no obvious cause.

Has anyone else experienced this? I know hormonal changes can cause ulcers. Don't know if it's the HRT or just bad luck.

I took elleste duet 1mg for a year & then 2mg for a year. One of the reasons I stopped taking it was that I was also getting ulcers every month when I started the second half of the pack. Since I have stopped, 9 months ago, they have stopped.
Probably not what you want to hear, but at least you know you're not alone !

Thank you - I have a horrible feeling they are linked!! What did you switch to?

I just stopped! I decided that it wasn't worth the misery of monthly ulcers. I started taking it originally for insomnia & low mood, which were also worse during the second phase. I was def menopausal -49 at the time & no periods since I was 47.
Now I take menopase ( from Boots) the one with 2 tablets. I also take vitamin B complex. I have been clear of ulcers since. My low mood is generally better. The insomnia is proving trickier but think it will improve once the clocks change.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do 😊
